Parkwood Leisure secures contract for Erewash Borough Council sites
POSTED 05 Feb 2019 . BY Tom Walker
The deal will see Parkwood investing more than £1m in improving services and facilities – including upgrades to the West Park Leisure Centre
Parkwood Leisure has been awarded a 10-year contract to operate leisure facilities on behalf of Erewash Borough Council.

As part of the deal, Parkwood will invest more than £1m in improving services and facilities, with an initial focus on upgrading two venues – the West Park Leisure Centre and Rutland Sports Park.

“Erewash has some fantastic facilities and with the investments over the next 12-months – and the length of the contract – we will build upon their success," said Peter Fitzboydon, managing director of Parkwood Leisure.

“We look forward to working with the council to finalise the plans for the centres."

The contract to operate the Erewash's four facilities includes an option to extend the partnership for a further five years following the initial 10-year period.
