Europa Park appoints two members of the Mack family to its board
POSTED 05 May 2016 . BY Tom Anstey
Michael and Thomas, who are eighth generation members of the Mack family, have been actively involved in day-to-day park operations for a number of years
Europa Park has followed up on a strong 2015 performance by appointing Michael and Thomas Mack to its board.

“After having a successful 2015 that saw more than 5.5 million visitors, the largest theme park in Germany is paving the way for further expansion,” said a Europa Park statement.

“In particular, the already approved Wasser-Erlebnis-Resort – which includes a water park and a new hotel – and investments in new attractions and infrastructure projects are currently in the works. To meet these great challenges, Europa Park has appointed Michael and Thomas Mack to ensure continuity in the company’s corporate policy.”

Michael and Thomas, who are eighth generation members of the Mack family, have been actively involved in day-to-day park operations for a number of years. Michael Mack is responsible for construction management, park operations, marketing, the in-house design department Mack Solutions and MackMedia, while Thomas Mack leads the entertainment department, the theme park and hotel food services, and the logistics department.

“We are ensuring that the Mack family’s more than 235-year-old business will continue developing successfully,” said Europa Park founder Roland Mack. “Based on that solid foundation, we carry on fulfilling our core business to excite our visitors every day.”
