Thailand’s Proud Real Estate (PRE) has announced the opening date for its jungle-concept water park, slated for October this year. The Vana Nava Hua Hin aims to set itself apart with its rainforest-inspired theme, positioning itself as an “ecologically aware” leisure destination.
The project, which marks PRE’s first foray into the water park and attractions arena, will feature 19 stations and rides supplied by Whitewater West. Nestled within the thickly forested surrounds, there will be more than 800m (2,600ft) of water slides.
“Vana Nava is one of our most exciting projects as it has a very interesting mix of both water attractions, like water slides and interactive water play structures, and dry attractions like rope courses and climbing walls,” said Megan Krentz, marketing coordinator at Whitewater West.
“It’s a very balanced water park with a nearly-even mix of water slides and interactive elements which will appeal to a wide demographic.”
The park is being mapped out by A49 Design Group, with landscaping by Belt Collins. Construction is being undertaken by Sino-Thai. The park aims to be environmentally responsible and energy efficient, using water recycling and a careful selection of flora.
Located in the popular tourist destination of Hua Hin, the water park is ideally situated to benefit from existing tourism to the coastal town while helping boost the number of domestic and international visitors to the area. According to its mission statement, Vana Nava “will further elevate the status of Hua Hin as a world class leisure destination [and] add excitement, entertainment and joy to the seaside resort.”
