A four-year-old girl who fell from a height at Chessington World of Adventures, the theme park located on the southern outskirts of Greater London, is in a critical condition at hospital.
The girl – named locally as Jessica Blake – suffered a fractured skull, bleeding to her brain and broken ribs following the 14ft (4.3m) fall from the Tomb Blaster ride queue.
A spokesman for Merlin Entertainments, which operates the park, said the Health and Safety Executive had been informed and added that the park was also conducting its own investigation.
