London’s Science Museum is to launch an exhibition to coincide with the release of
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy film.
Specially created by the Science Museum, the exhibition opens on 28 May and will recreate the fantastic voyage of Arthur Dent, taking in some of the science that shapes our universe and life within it.
A family exhibition, the narrative of Douglas Adams’ science fiction story is set against a backdrop of large scale sets from the film, supplemented with props, costumes and creatures that were used during the shoot.
Developed in partnership with Silver Knight Exhibitions, the Hitchhiker exhibition has also gone behind the scenes of the film’s production and includes information on the filmmakers and creature creators – the famous Henson Creature Workshop. Details: www.nmsi.ac.uk
