THE LAND'S END HOTEL
Job title: Hotel Operations Manager
Responsible for: Bar Manager, Restaurant Manager, Head Chef, Weddings & Events Manager
Reports to: Hotel Manager
Salary: up to £32,000 per annum depending on experience


JOB OBJECTIVE

To ensure that the standards outlined in the Hotel training manuals are being adhered to throughout the departments & to support the hotel management team in delivering successful operations, achieving the hotel objectives.

Consistently challenge & drive passion within the management team, direct their focus & support the development of each department.

Be responsible for the training & development of the entire Food & Beverage team including all aspects of HR & Health & Safety.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the delivery of food & beverage to all customers both visiting during the day & staying

• Maintain & develop operating profit, develop strategies to meet & exceed budgets & targets for revenue & payroll within the food & beverage sector.

• Be responsible for all departments adhering to health & safety policies & implement best practice principles to all aspects of Health & Safety including COSHH & PPE.

• Ensure that all services are legally compliant at all times, that alcohol is served within the restrictions of the premises licence & the sale of all food & beverage adhere to the Food Safety Laws.

• Manage & maintain correct staffing levels to ensure customer satisfaction & profitability.

• Inspect all areas of the hotel on an ongoing basis & take appropriate steps to ensure facilities meet or exceed company standards at all times.

• Ensure all new starters have received the relevant training, they have all the tools & skills to complete their roles & that the company have all of the relevant information on their paperwork to process them as a new starter. Including recording of Emergency contact details for the hotel duty management team to access.

• Support, develop, train & maintain regular communication with all food & beverage heads of department & provide them with the skills, training & passion to drive development.

• Ensure all staff throughout uphold LE policy’s & procedures for Cash Handling including till variances.

• Develop & implement business strategies aligned with the company’s overall mission, vision, values & strategies that support achievement of the hotel’s aims.

• Review competitors on a regular basis & analyse finding to ensure offering is competitive.

• Create a positive environment & culture through constant communication & reinforcement.

• Carry out any reasonable request given by a member of the senior management team.

• Ensure all departments Unit bible & COSHH information are up to date, correct & all staff have a full knowledge of its location, information & execution.

• Deliver exceptional customer service & customer management in a professional & courteous manner.

• To ensure all reviews, comments & enquiries are responded to in a courteous & professional manner by the relevant manager.
