Barry White unveils online community of wellbeing partnered with Subtle Energies and Vinoble
POSTED 05 Jun 2020 . BY Megan Whitby
Subtle Energies and Vinoble Cosmetics are partnered with Time and will gradually roll out retail products and treatments on the online platform
Industry figure and consultant, Barry White, has launched a collaborative spa and wellness platform and aromatherapy product line.

Called Time, the organisation is designed to be a centralised resource of retail brands, wellness experts, treatments and physical wellness locations for consumers in Hong Kong and Macau.

The accompanying aromatherapy range, called Time In Wellness, features essential oil blends and bathing amenities.

Speaking to Spa Business, White revealed the platform’s launch will be phased, with stage one consisting of the product launch and the following phases including a rollout of services such as digital wellness tutorials, treatments, and spa management consultancy services provided by White’s own consultancy – called White.

“I created Time to give customers more choice to enhance their wellbeing in a place and time of their choosing, with specialist care, locations and products they can trust,” he said.

Spa and wellness brands Subtle Energies and Vinoble Cosmetics are partnered with Time and will gradually roll out retail products and treatments on the online platform.

Spa brand Vinoble Cosmetics has partnered with Time to gradually roll out retail products and treatments on the online platform, while wellness brand Subtle Energies will retail its lifestyle range which is backed by over 25 years of clinical research.

Booking partner treatments will be a flexible online offering – available only to consumers in Hong Kong and Macau – which will allow clients to choose where the treatment will be hosted, for example at a partner spa or health club, home, at work or online – however different services and modalities will permit different locations.

The online wellness tutorials – called Time Specialist sessions – will be arrangeable for groups or as private classes, with topics ranging from nutrition and yoga to athletic performance and pre- and post-natal therapies, with participants able to pay for individual sessions or an ongoing subscription.

“Having spent my entire career in the spa and wellness industry, not much has fundamentally changed,” said White, “Time will help locations maximise underutilised space, provide a meaningful platform for specialists to offer their services and an opportunity to cross-pollinate retail and service brands with specialists and locations.

“Right now our focus is on making Time successful in Hong Kong and Macau and gearing up to gradually launch the other elements,” he said, "Looking ahead we’d like to expand treatment services to other cities and we welcome any like-minded person to join our tribe.”

White previously held the role of group director of spa for Langham Hospitality Group and was instrumental in the developments of its Chuan Spa brand. He left this role in 2017 to start up his own spa and wellness consultancy firm.
