– Susie Ellis, GWI chair and CEO
The Global Wellness Institute (GWI) has appointed Renee Moorefield and Michelle Floh to its board of directors.

Floh leads the Rona and Jeffrey Abramson Foundation, a nonprofit which focuses on improving the health and wellness of families – particularly women and girls – worldwide. In this role, she draws on her experience in both the private and public healthcare sectors in America and Canada.

“I’m privileged to join the GWI, a trusted organisation that provides the wellness industry with fresh ideas and best practice,” said Floh. “Success is never achieved by chance, and I look forward to participating in imagining, planning and implementing strategies based on GWI’s vision to inspire and improve access to wellness worldwide.”

Moorefield, an existing GWI member, chaired the Wellness at Work Initiative and helped to shape and guide The Wellness Moonshot campaign. She is also the co-author of Driven by Wellth and CEO of Wisdom Works, a workplace wellness company.

“It’s an honour to be part of an organisation that shares my personal goal to make wellbeing a priority wherever we work, live and play,” said Moorefield.

Moorefield and Floh increase the GWI’s board to 13 members, joining health and wellness-minded leaders such as Dr Richard Carmona, 17th surgeon general of the United States; Sue Harmsworth MBE, founder of ESPA International; and Mia Kyricos, SVP and global head of wellbeing at Hyatt Hotels Corporation.

GWI chair and CEO Susie Ellis said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Renee and Michelle to the board. Their backgrounds will inform GWI’s programmes, initiatives and projects”.
Moorefield is already an existing GWI member.
