Headline speakers announced for Flame 2014
POSTED 20 Mar 2014 . BY Jak Phillips
As ever, this year's conference will include the Flame Awards, which last year winners crowned across 11 different categories
ukactive has announced three more speakers for this year’s Flame Conference and Ball which take place in Telford from 1-2 July.

Keynote speaker Magnus Lindkvist – the world-renowned futurologist who has already been announced – will be joined by Jo Fairley, Will Greenwood and Sebastien Foucan in addressing the physical activity community.

With around 800 key industry figures expected to attend, will examine the future of the physical activity sector to examine ways to better understand, engage and mobilise customers against a backdrop of significant change.

This year’s speakers boast a diverse range of backgrounds, leaving them well-place to offer unique insights into the key to success.

Jo Fairley is co-founder of organic chocolate brand Green & Black’s and has been a trailblazer in pushing the social responsibility agenda for food producers, winning several awards for her efforts. Fairley has authored more than a dozen books and is a branding expert who has managed to successfully combine business and corporate responsibility without underestimating the intelligence of the consumer.

Joining Jo will be England World Cup-winning rugby legend Will Greenwood, who also had a brief stint on the trading floor at HSBC in the City of London before his professional career took off. Greenwood will recount stories from his glittering career alongside business lessons learned along the way.

Last but not least in the line-up is Freerunning founder and French film star Sebastien Foucan. Having developed the Freerunning concept – combining movement with the urban environment in a unique, challenging and aesthetic way – with friends as a youngster, Foucan has gone on to dual with Daniel Craig in ‘Casino Royale’ and dance with Madonna on her ‘Confessions on a Dance floor’.
