| Sarner International unveils new audio-visual experience at a Citadella in Goza |
 |
Audio-visual specialist Sarner International, has created a unique audio-visual experience in the visitor centre of a disused Citadella on the Maltese island of Goza.
The visitor centre is located in the abandoned water storage reservoirs, and is part of a plan for an extensive renovation, that will see the Citadella become a World Heritage site and museum.
The visitor centre is made up of three main areas: an exhibition area, a main show area and a tunnel connecting the two. The areas are separated into nine zones, each featuring a different interactive exhibit.
The experience is purely audio-visual and features immersive and interactive displays, culminating in a spectacular show in the final zone.
Sarner installed an AV Stumpfl Wings Engine Stage to create the main show, a 360-degree wrap-around projection, in the dome of one of the water reservoirs. The show uses 16 projectors and AV Stumpfl Wings VIOSO software to implement image blending and warping.
The VIOSO system was also used to calibrate the intricate masking required for the ornate architectural elements of the building used as projection surfaces.
15 video panels and 30 AV Stumpfls Wings FHD players were also installed, and a further five FHD players were used to facilitate stand alone projections.
Ross Magri, Managing Director of Sarner, said: “We’re using technology to visually tell the stories of the people of Citadella, its land and items of cultural significance, possible thanks to the technology of AV Stumpfl Wings.”
