Jackson Digital Imaging (JDI) showcased its Thrill-Pix Auto ID system at WWA and IAAPA recently.
Thrill-Pix enables waterpark guests to store and track all the ride photo images taken of them throughout the day.
Images are automatically associated with a single wristband worn by the guest; wristbands can be RFID, bar-code, or mag-stripe format.
Unlike previous auto identification systems, Thrill-Pix Auto not only correlates multiple pictures to a single wristband, but also correlates multiple wristbands to a single photo. This works well for guests who go on a ride with other people and each of them wants access to the picture captured while on the ride.
The new system means that a single photo booth can now serve an entire park, with guests able to come to the facility at any time of the day and scan their wristband to view and purchase photos from all their rides.
JDI installed the first Thrill-Pix Auto I.D. system earlier this year at the Wet-n-Wild Waterpark on Australia's Gold Coast. Other venues are currently being planned.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |
