California’s City of Antioch Waterpark has reported a saving of more than 250,000 gallons of water in one month after using Neptune Benson’s Defender filtration system.
The water park maintains three pools, a splash pad and a lap pool and receives thousands of visitors per month.
According to Neptune Benson, the Defender regenerative media filter removes particles down to one micron or less and eliminates more than 90 per cent of the backwash water associated with sand filter operation.
This reduction in backwash waste leads to savings in chemicals and fuels for reheating associated with make-up water.
