Image: Hopkins Rides’ Pirate Reef at Legoland CaliforniaWhiteWater West has announced the acquisition of Florida-based Hopkins Rides as part of efforts to strengthen its aquatic amusement park attractions portfolio.
Hopkins Rides – formerly OD Hopkins – was formed in 1979 and will become the 19th international office of WhiteWater as a result of the deal, while continuing to operate under the same name.
The group will also continue offering theme park products such as the Log Flume Ride, the Super Flume, Shoot the Chute and the River Raft Ride among others.
Teri Ruffley, head of WhiteWater's amusement ride section, said: "Having Hopkins Rides on board advances our mission to bring to market the most exciting and diverse aquatic amusement park attractions portfolio in the world."
WhiteWater president and CEO Geoff Chutter added: "Our vision is to bring in originals like Hopkins Rides to reinforce what WhiteWater does best – top-notch attractions."
