A new People and the Planet gallery will open within the Wildwalk-At-Bristol attraction on 22 October, complete with Europe’s first underwater, walk-through living coral reef tank.
Funded by the Millennium Commission, the Wellcome Trust and SITA Trust, People and the Planet will focus on humankind’s relationship with biodiversity and sustainable development and will be divided in to a series of interactive sections.
The underwater coral reef tank will host over 1,000 creatures from more than 100 species including clams, anemones, angelfish, clownfish and green chromis.
Visitors can view the tropical marine life from within an underwater tunnel constructed entirely from natural materials from sustainable sources. Details: www.at-bristol.org.uk
