L'Odyssée des Bâtisseurs theme park in Alma, Quebec, Canada is to be enhanced with the help of a CA$175,000 (£110,000, EUR129,900, US$177,500) government grant.
The non-repayable cash has been provided through the Community Diversification scheme to Société d'histoire du Lac-Saint-Jean Inc.
Under the first phase of work at the attraction, a multimedia, multi-sensory 360-degree film production on the theme of water will be developed at the park's water tower.
Interactive terminals will also be installed in Maison des Bâtisseurs to complement the Au-delà de l'eau permanent exhibit to teach visitors about the importance of water.
Discussions are also underway with a view to extending the tours of the Rio Tinto Alcan (Alma) aluminium smelting plant into the autumn season.
Meanwhile, the Wakefield Mill Inn has also received government funding - through the Community Adjustment Fund - to construct new guest accommodation.
A CA$600,000 (£377,300, EUR445,400, US$608,400) grant will help the property build a new 13-room extension, which will feature a second solarium.
