A teenager has died after being thrown from a roller coaster at a theme park in Benidorm, Spain.
The 18-year-old was thrown from the ride called “Inferno” at the Terra Mitica theme park when his harness failed.
The teen was initially thought to be British, but a police spokesman said he was from Iceland.
A local judge has launched an investigation into the incident which occurred on the ride, which does 360-degree turns and produces 3g forces at speeds of more than 40mph (64.3kmph).
Terra Mitica opened in 2000 with the roller coaster involved in the incident opening in July 2007.
