Stirling's Tolbooth will reopen in mid-March as a new heritage and culture base, after a £6m regeneration package.
The former court and jail, which hosted a parliament in the reign of James VI, has been redesigned and developed with funds from Stirling Council, the Scottish Arts Council, National and Heritage Lotteries, Historic Scotland, the European Regional Development Fund and Scottish Enterprise Forth Valley.
The new Tolbooth boasts a modern auditorium seating 200; an attic performance area; rehearsal, workshop and meeting rooms; a restaurant, shop and an in-house recording studio, enabling all events to be recorded live.
Training opportunities for young people in the music business will be available all year round and the Tolbooth programme will put equal emphasis on both performing and making music.
