Colombo’s Sri Lanka Planetarium has reopened after refurbishments, boasting a new 4D/Digital full dome projector to project the universe as a 3D space, as well as various tech upgrades to the 49-year-old facility.
Affiliated with the country’s Ministry of Technology and Research and originally established in 1965, the planetarium reopened today (15 July) after a six-week hiatus for the upgrades and renovations to take place.
While the finishing touches to the refurbishment are made, the planetarium is allowing a limited number of people in to attend shows and exhibitions.
