Soneva continues policy of investing in residential
POSTED 18 Sep 2013 . BY Kath Hudson
The Shivdasanis are focusing on developing private residences - the latest at Soneva Fushi
Purveyors of barefoot luxury, the Soneva Group, has unveiled its largest private residence to date at Soneva Fushi in the Maldives.

The new development is set for completion next month and has eight suites, so can cater for big groups, such as weddings or multi-generational get togethers.

Constructed from sustainable materials using indigenous techniques, and with breathtaking sea views, the villas will command rental prices of up beween $11,300 (£6,900, €8,200) and $30,000 (£19,000, €22,500) per night.

Facilities include a master suite with its own pool and outdoor bathroom, a wine cellar, library, sunken dining room within the main pool and a private spa suite with steam facilities, gym and massage room. Each serviced villa comes with a butler.

Developed by Eva and Sonu Shivdasani, the philosophy of Soneva is SLOW LIFE: sustainable, local, organic, wellness, learning, inspiring, fun experiences.

The first castaway resort was built on Soneva Fushi in 1995, followed by the Thai island of Koh Kood in 2009. A yachting experience, Soneva in Aqua is in the pipeline, as well as another resort in Sri Lanka.

The Shivdasanis also developed the Sixth Senses Resorts and Spas brand, which spanned Europe, Asia and the Middle East and was sold last year.
