People 1st, the Sector Skills Council for the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism industry, has launched Tourism HR, a new service for smaller tourism and hospitality businesses.
The new service will help companies understand and comply with employment legislation and assist with appraisals, training, recruitment, retention and other HR issues.
Tourism HR follows a trial period in north west last year and is now being rolled out across the UK.
Offering an initial face-to-face audit of employment practices – benchmarked against best practice – the scheme is supported by an online HR and employment law service and telephone helpline.
