Revamp for Madame Tussauds Las Vegas
POSTED 19 Dec 2011 . BY Pete Hayman
Hollyer Projects, the UK-based project management firm, has been appointed to oversee the proposed refurbishment of the Madame Tussauds Las Vegas visitor destination in the US.

The attraction, which is operated by Merlin Entertainments, is to undergo work in two stages over a two-year period in order to bring it up to date with the Madam Tussauds brand.

During the first phase of work, the box office and front entry area will be renovated, and the existing Speed room will be re-themed as a Film room. The Sports room will be expanded.

Meanwhile, the second stage will incorporate an update of the Music room and the creation of a new Madame Tussauds Historical room, together with a Behind the Scenes area.

Each section of the work will have to be completed within "limited time frames" based on non-peak business periods, with Hollyer Projects to manage the work around the guests.

Richard Hollyer, the company's managing director, said: "The changes we're making will allow the guest to become more involved within the newly themed areas, enjoying engaging interactive features as well as getting close to their favourite celebrity figures."

Madame Tussauds Las Vegas general manager Rosita Chapman added: "Guests will be able to experience a more fully immersive Madame Tussauds experience, while repeat customers get to see new rooms and figures they haven't seen before."
