Celebrity trainer, lifestyle coach and nutrition specialist Nora Tobin has partnered with JW Marriott to become the brand’s wellness ambassador.

The collaboration will introduce “elevated and approachable ways to exercise body and mind”.

A series of guest experiences will rollout through 2018 as part of the partnership, including guided fitness videos, immersive retreats and customised culinary programming.

“JW Marriott guests are passionate about wellness, seeking balance and new, innovative approaches that incorporate wellbeing into their daily routine,” said Mitzi Gaskins, vice president and global brand manager, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts.

Guided fitness videos through FitnessOnDemand are accessible in-room and on the brand’s website, and include yoga, mindfulness and HIIT classes – all filmed on-location at JW Marriott resorts.

The JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona, US will kick-off a series of wellness retreats hosted by Tobin in January, with four additional retreats slated to run through April 2018 at JW Marriott properties in Los Angeles, Austin, Desert Ridge and Marco Island, Florida.

The multi-day retreats will focus on personalised wellbeing and include everything from customised fitness coaching sessions, to daily wellbeing seminars and off-property excursions, to spa treatments.

JW Marriott will also offer an assortment of group wellness offerings as part of its meetings and events programming in 2018, including a collection of Nora Tobin-recommended healthy menu items and a series of wellbeing active meeting breaks and group activities, digitally led by Tobin.

In-room dining will also get a wellness makeover, with a range of smoothies and juices, such as the Forest Rehab smoothie, which features wild honey, acai, banana, cinnamon and Greek yoghurt.

“I’m honoured to be named as JW Marriott’s wellness ambassador, and look forward to sharing my knowledge of fitness and nutrition with the JW Marriott guest, providing approachable wellness experiences, programmes and products created to obtain optimal health without deprivation,” said Tobin.
