Ocean Park in Hong Kong has opened its new attraction called Amazing Amazon Trail which displays the natural habitat of the Amazon rainforest. Facts, such as where asprins come from and how coffee beans can be grown in an environmentally friendly way, have been placed along the trail.
The highlight of the attraction, is the Amazing Birds Theatre Show, which features over 18 colourful rare species of birds, including Ocean park's hand raised eagle owl, Bubo. Conducted by the parks professional bird trainers, audiences get the chance to learn about the birds and watch them perform. The show also features Kitty, a green winged macaw, who collects donations from the audience, in support of the park's conservation for birds project.
Ocean Park has recently revamped its Raging River ride, giving it a new theme. Log boats sail through a Canadian themed environment, including river beds lined with North American plants and totem poles.
The park is also to launch a brand new simulation attraction, which opens to the public at the end of April.
