The refresh is part of a multi-million-pound resort-wide redevelopment project
Five-star Scottish countryside retreat Mar Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort in Bishopton has lifted the curtain on its newly refurbished spa and leisure suite.

Thanks to the refresh, the property’s existing eight-treatment-room spa has been updated with a reimagined pool hall including new saunas, steamrooms and an outdoor thermal suite.

The recent enhancements mark the culmination of the first phase of a grand multi-million-pound redevelopment endeavour undertaken by the resort. Located on the banks of the River Clyde, the stately mansion is nestled in a 240-acre ancient woodland estate and located 10 minutes’ drive from Glasgow International Airport.

Inspired by the understated elegance of Scandinavian design, Mar Hall says its vision for its spa and leisure facilities epitomises a harmonious blend of sophistication and tranquillity.

The resort appointed interior design firm Curveline Design and Align Partners – a real estate investment and asset management platform specialising in the hospitality sector – to guide the transformation.

In addition to the new thermal and hydrotherapy experiences, spa guests can also explore a menu of treatments supplied by Hebridean seaweed skincare brand ishga and visit a new open-plan multi-functional gym.

Overlooking the pool, the fitness centre features Primal performance series half racks, benches and free weights, as well as cardio machines.

Additional facilities at Mar Hall Spa include an outdoor spa retreat with a hot tub and heated loungers overlooking the River Clyde and Kilpatrick Hills.

Joe Gallacher, resort GM, said: “Our new leisure suite offers our local members best-in-class pool and gym facilities with a daily schedule of classes and personalised training to support their goals, while spa and hotel guests are welcomed to enjoy a tranquil retreat or wellness short break.

“These new improvements form part of the ongoing multi-million-pound redevelopment project to elevate and modernise the resort while celebrating Mar Hall’s rich Scottish heritage.”
