Grevin & Co, the European theme park chain is one of the front runners hoping to win the contract for reviving the fortunes of Spreepark, Berlin's now closed flagship amusement park, by 2004, reports Amusement Business.
The company's strategy involves taking half of the 74 acres of woodland in Berliner Planerwald, where the park is located for development, while saving 22 acres of the remaining 37 acres will be protected as a woodland and forest and turning the rest into a car park.
