City officials in Seoul, South Korea, are considering giving the green light for an increase in the capacity of the city’s foreigner-only casinos.
The news comes as the city’s tourism bosses are exploring a number of ways to attract more international tourists to the country.
According to Korea Times, however, it is unclear whether the central government will allow the plan in view of negative public sentiment.
Currently, only foreigners are permitted to visit the city’s three casinos – the Sheraton Walkerhill Grande Hotel, the Millennium Seoul Hilton Hotel and the OakWood Premier Coex Center.
Seoul aims to attract 12 million inbound tourists by 2010.
