Rainbow's End theme park in New Zealand has finally agreed an extension of its lease with Manakau City Council.
After five years of negotiating, the park's operator, New Zealand Experience,
has announced that the lease has been extended beyond its expiry date in 2019 until 2034.
The new agreement however sees the park having to hand over part of its land for an extension of the Manukau District Court House.
As a result of the land being removed by the council, the park's Power Surge ride is to be moved, but New Zealand Experience will be compensated for the costs involved.
