The mortgage holder of the troubled Freestyle Music Park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, US has bought the property from foreclosure.
In a statement, lawyers for the new owners of the park, FPI US, suggested that the park could reopen sometime during 2012.
The park originally opened as Hard Rock Park in April 2008 following a US$400m investment, but was forced to close after just five months in September 2008.
It then reopened as Freestyle Music Park the following year but only stayed open until September 2009, when it was shut down permanently.
It is understood that FPI will not reopen the park but is actively searching for an operator to take over the management of the attraction.
