The Kish Paradise Co., one of Iran's leading retail developers, has retained Toronto-based Forrec Ltd to design the country's first indoor family entertainment centre, which opens this winter.
The 6,000sq m attraction will be located on the third level of the recently completed Tirajeh Mall in Tehran. The FEC's programme will include a selection of popular children's rides, a soft play area, 140 arcade and redemption games, bumper cars and four lanes of Bowlingo for children. Eight lanes of adult bowling will be installed within a year. In addition to a food court, the centre will offer a juice bar and a BOOF restaurant (Iran's only home-grown fast food chain).
'With 50 per cent of the country's population currently under the age of 20, Iran represents a huge and, so far, untapped market for quality family-orientated leisure facilities,' reports Forrec's project manager, John Plumpton.
