Film tourism worth £1.8bn

Oxford Economics has released a report showing that film tourism contributed around £1.8bn to the UK economy last year.

According to the independent study, one in ten foreign tourists are drawn to Britain as a result of the recent upsurge in blockbusters being filmed here, such Harry Potter scenes and the Da Vinci Code.

The report claimed that in 2005, film tourism was only worth £400m.

Film tourism worth £1.8bn

Oxford Economics has released a report showing that film tourism contributed around £1.8bn to the UK economy last year.
