A topping out ceremony has been held to mark the latest milestone in the development of a new Epping Forest interpretation centre in Chingford, north east London.
The new facility will be housed in the redeveloped coach house and stables located adjacent to Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge and forms part of the Chingford Hub project.
In addition to the interpretation centre, the Chingford Hub will also feature improvements to the car park at Bury Road and a renovation of Butler's Retreat - due to open this summer.
Barbara Newman, chair of the City of London Corporation's Epping Forest and Commons committee, said: "The development will provide us with a fantastic space in which we can tell the fascinating story of Epping Forest.
"We will also have a brand new education facility, available for community use, and a new retail space."
