Chyngton School children inspired by visit to Downs Leisure Centre
POSTED 08 May 2013 . BY Tim Nash
On Wednesday 27th March, 96 children from Chyngton Primary School were rewarded with a visit to the Downs Leisure Centre in Seaford, operated by Wave Leisure.

The children, who are in Pevensey House at the school, were rewarded for gaining the most house points during the term.

The visit to the centre included them having a go at a number of different activities such as trampolining, gymnastics and circuit training.  The children also had a bonus session in Dino's Soft Play centre.

Kay Crush from Chyngton School said: "The afternoon went really smoothly with everything pitched at just the right level for the different age groups. The children thoroughly enjoyed the range and variety of activities they were offered, and for many of them it was something completely new. I'm sure many will return for more now they have had a taster!"

Fred Furner, Centre Manager for the Downs said: "This was a great opportunity for the children to have a go at a number of sports and activities that they may not have participated in before. If we can inspire them at a young age to an active lifestyle, we hope that they will continue on that journey throughout their lifetime."
