Center Parcs UK has introduced a new 600ft long raft ride to the Subtropical Swimming Paradise at its Sherwood Forest site in Nottingham.
The £1.6m Grand Cascade, which opened last month (July) was designed by Jackson Design and installed by NBGS UK.
It starts indoors, but then goes outside before finishing back inside the swimming area.
The ride is the first of its kind for Center Parcs in the UK and the company is waiting to see how successful it is before planning its rollout to other sites.
“Center Parcs is always looking for new ways to enhance the guest experience and a new ride in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise was identified as being an opportunity where we could add a new and unique facility,” said a spokesperson.
“A project team went to the USA to research pool rides, which is where the idea of a family raft ride came from.
"We are currently gathering guest feedback to see if it is something we can introduce across other Center Parcs UK Villages.
