RHP Architects were responsible the design of the overhaul, which also involved graphic designers
Lucy or Robert and exhibition designer
At Large.
A new entrance opening onto Downing Street has been created as part of the improvements, in addition to a temporary exhibition space and new archaeology galleries.
Museum curator Mark Elliott said: "Because we have so many [objects], but can show only a few, each one has been specifically chosen for the stories they tell."
