Brian Thompson to head up Createability's sales ops
POSTED 10 Apr 2014 . BY Jak Phillips
Createability's new sales director Brian Thompson (pictured) is looking forward to working with managing director Ian Cotgrave
Leisure design and build specialist Createability has secured health, fitness and leisure industry veteran Brian Thompson as its new sales director.

Thompson, whose career spans more than 20 years in the sector, will be responsible for defining the company’s sales strategy, taking the business into new sectors, building a sales team and ultimately increasing turnover.

Thompson began his career in 1989 as a duty manager within a local authority leisure centre, before moving into the private sector managing leisure at Foxhills Golf and Resort in Surrey.

He then spent 12 years working with Technogym in a number of roles, before moving to the international division of Matrix, driving distributors across Eastern Europe, Turkey and South Africa. During this time Thompson helped both companies achieve notable growth over a short time period, and he now hopes to replicate this success for Createability.

“I have firsthand experience of the type of redevelopment projects that Createability delivers, having overeseen the conversion of a squash court to a gym at Foxhills, as well as managing an extensive, two-year roll out of new build sites for LA Fitness in my role with Technogym,” said Thompson.

“It’s an old cliché, but ‘people buy people’ and I have known (Createability managing director) Ian Cotgrave for a long time. I like his business, company ethos and the direction it is taking. I believe I can add value and help the business grow further, and am looking forward to rolling my sleeves up and getting stuck into it.”
