The Avonturenpark theme park in Hellendoorn, Netherlands, has expanded to include a new Aquaventura Slidepark, offering a variety of waterslides and aquatic attractions for visitors.
Designed and installed by specialists Polin, the new features are part of a US$4m (£2.4m, €2.9m), 16,404 sq ft (5,000sq m) expansion, as the park looks to offer more variety to guests.
The theme park is owned by the Looping Group and is located in the centre of Overijssel, the fourth-largest province in the Netherlands, with the attraction already offering more than 30 differing rides and interactive experiences before the aquatic installations were brought in.
The park now has the added benefit of 11 new waterslides, which feature dry-out sections to avoid the use of splash pools at the site.
Some of leading water-based rides include the Black Hole Combination, Wave Slide, Body Slide, Black Hole, Compact Slide, Wide Slide and the Multislide.
"We always have plans for additions to the parks and will definitely keep on investing in them in the coming years," said Laurent Bruloy, Looping Group's CEO.
Lopping owns nine leisure parks in Europe - five in France and one each in Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Spain.
