Armathwaite Hall launches activity programme for the summer

On site activities will include ebike hire, archery and clay pigeon shooting

Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa in Keswick, the Lake District, has launched a new experience programme offering a range of challenging and rewarding outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy this summer.

Guests, inspired by the lush scenery, can take part in the Photography Experience, where they spend a day or a half day with a professional photographer, learning about composition and lighting, as well as making the most of the surroundings.

For guests who enjoy exploring the great outdoors canoeing and kayaking experiences are also on offer, with guests taking to the Derwent Water with a qualified instructor, before stopping on St Herbert's island for lunch. While walking enthusiasts can participate in the Fell Walking experience, which offers a range of trails from beginner-friendly rambles to rock scrambling.

Also on offer is the Via Ferrata and Mine Tour, a full day experience where guests tour underground mines and scale one of two Via Ferrata - a protected climbing route - on Fleetwith Pike.

For animal lovers the Meet the Meercats and Birds of Prey experiences gives guests first hand experience with the animals, with the Meet the Meercats experience giving guests the opportunity to feed and play with these friendly animals.

Other on site activities include archery, clay pigeon shooting and ebike hire.

Simon Steele, general manager at Armathwaite Hall, said: "We are plfor everyone. Whether you want to learn a new skill or challenge yourself, there's a fun pursuit to try. In addition to the organised programme, we are more than happy to arange bespoke experiences for our guests including little ones. They just need to let us know in advance."
