Tokyo’s DisneySea has announced plans to introduce the world of Finding Nemo and Finding Dory to the park, with a new immersive 4D attraction bringing the underwater world to life.

Entering a theatre, presented as a submarine that will seem to shrink to the size of a small fish, viewers will explore the world, meeting popular characters from the two films as they experience the 4D show.

Finding Dory, set to be released in 2016, is the sequel to the highly-popular animated film Finding Nemo. In the creation of the ride at DisneySea, production staff for the new film are working on creation of visuals for the attraction.

DisneySea’s StormRider will make way for the new theatre, with the attraction closing in Mid-may 2016. An opening date has been set for Q1 2017 on the new ride, which has been touted as an investment of ¥5bn (US$40m, €36.2m, £26.3m).
