Splash Factor is designed to enable parks to optimise their water rides |
|
WhiteWater West has developed a brand new online tool that claims to optimise the 'splash factor' in theme and amusement parks.
The tool, also called Splash Factor, is designed to enable parks to optimise their ride offering, helpingoperators to strike the right balance between water rides and other rides. It measures the water ride mix in comparison to other rides in the park, as well as park attendance and industry benchmarks, giving operators the opportunity to maximise their parks potential.
"Making a splash is one thing and creating an impact is another," said president of WhiteWater's Park Attractions Nathan Jones.
"By providing a benchmarked rating (high, medium and low) based specifically on park size, operators can easily find the category that their park falls into. The critical thing here is to identify the gap between the individual park's Splash Factor and the industry benchmark and then work towards finding the right water-ride mix," Jones added.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |
