Design 2 Play (D2P) designs and manufactures waterplay products and hands-on experiences for museums, waterparks and resorts |
|
Weber Group, a design and construction company specialising in the attractions sector, has expanded its service offering with the acquisition of Design 2 Play (D2P), an interactive play company which designs and manufactures waterplay products and hands-on experiences for museums, waterparks and resorts.
The acquisition will see D2P's current owner, Tony Imgrogno join Weber as director of Interactive Play, where he will continue to oversee the concept and completion of D2P's product offering.
"With over 30 waterparks on our roster this acquisition makes sense for the continued growth of Webet Group on multiple levels," said Adam McIntyre, creative director and partner at Weber Group.
"We have worked with Tony over many years and it made sense to bring his products and expertise 'in house' to allow Weber to provide more services to our existing clients and to encourage additional relationships in the industries we serve," McIntyre added.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |
