Tensator provided barriers for the Emirates Air Line cable car |
|
Queue management specialist, Tensator has signed a contract with the Emirates Air Line cable car.
As part of the contract Tensator has provided 150 Tensabarriers, with red and white Emirates branded webbing, to guide visitors quickly and safely through the attraction, whilst also managing passenger flow.
Kevin Hickson, general manager at Tensator, says: “Since the Emirate Air Line opened in 2012, people have been arriving in their droves to get a bird’s-eye view of the capital.”
Hickson adds: “This is a popular route for people who want to cross the Thames, but it is also a destination in its own right and attracts a high-volume of people. To maximise capacity and avoid unnecessary queuing, we needed to ensure that passengers could move quickly through the system.”
Simon Green, commercial manager at Emirates Air Line operator Mace Macro, says: “The memories of tourists and commuters are created throughout their journey, so ensuring customers enjoy a positive experience from the moment they enter the queue is crucial. This queueing system ensures passengers are able to move through the line as quickly and as safely as possible.”
Tensator has worked with a number of visitor attractions including SEA LIFE London.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |

in the coming years. Millennials have been at the forefront of this shift, favouring
