Montréal Science Centre in Canada has unveiled new six permanent and two new temporary exhibitions, following a three-year refurbishment.
The CAN$6.3m (£3m, US$6.3m, 4.3m euro) project was funded by non-profit organisation Montréal Science Centre Foundation.
The new interactive, audiovisual and multimedia experiences are aimed at 9–14 year olds and focus on information, biotechnology, engineering, health and the environment.
The Mission Gaia challenge features a huge multimedia game where players must maintain a balance between the environment, the economy and human development to sustain development of a city and the entire planet, while idTV – ideas television – invites visitors to join a newsroom and write a news report on a scientific topic.
The other permanent exhibits are Imagine!, Science 26, Cargo and Alcan, whereas the two temporary areas are Odyssey of Light and Salt Essentials.
