Market Research Associate

Position Summary:
Gathers in-park and competitive data and distributes analysis. Performs administrative, secretarial, and operational tasks for department. Acts as a resource and point of contact for coordinating internal and external projects. Develops systems, methods, and procedures for managing flow of communications and work products. Utilizes knowledge of department and company to facilitate projects, communications and tasks. Responsible for coordinating select programs as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Research
The Market Research Associate will be part of the Research team who collects data from guests who visit LEGOLAND California Resort. The Associate will report into the Insights & Loyalty Representative and manage multiple projects concurrently. He or she will ensure that projects are executed according to approved methodology and within the pre-designated time frames.

* Execute research projects in the field using a variety of methodologies and research techniques and conducts Mystery Shops.
* Code and compile routine reports to distribute data collected to appropriate parties.
* Serve as the liaison to the Insights & Loyalty Representative in providing feedback on questionnaire length and integrity.
* Assists Insights & Loyalty Representative in conducting focus groups and other collection methods of qualitative data.
* Manages upkeep of data collection tools including handhelds, laptops, kiosks. Trouble shoot operational issues with maintenance, IT, Apple and kiosk company contacts. Checks reports to assure data is transferring accordingly.
* Work the Insights & Loyalty Representative in identifying materials necessary to execute effective research such as office supplies, incentives and additional technology.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Marketing
The Market Research Associate will support the LEGOLAND California Resort Marketing and Sales team by fulfilling a variety of administrative support functions. He or she will ensure that projects are executed in a timely-manner across varying functions.

* Coordinates compassion and community donations by reviewing requests, maintaining a donation contact database, updating materials on their website, fulfilling appropriate requests and Coordinates Park tours for compassion visitors with the Model Shop, SEA LIFE, hotel, and other related departments on an as needed basis.
* Fulfills a variety of Administrative Support functions such as scanning, transcribing, maintaining supplies, forms, inventory and stock of materials.
* Supports Creative, Advertising and Promotions teams by maintaining marketing sample materials, fulfilling ticket request processes, coordinating mailings, and updating cross-departmental documentation.
* Assists park operations and events on an as-needed basis.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Background and Experience
Education and/or experience in marketing, communications or related field desired. Experience in an entertainment/theme park environment desired. Requires excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive and supportive working relationships, and excellent customer service skills. Must be able to maintain an approachable and friendly demeanor with competing priorities and demands and take direction and work effectively with department staff members and diverse work styles.

This position requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Effective organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to set-up, automate and track contacts, data and information required. Person must be flexible, adaptable, responsive, and able to multi-task and prioritize effectively

Must be able to self-initiate activities, coordinate tasks, and exhibit strong project management skills with strong attention to detail and follow-up skills. Strong typing and computer skills, such as Microsoft Office products and other PC software required. Knowledge of office support functions and market research software preferred.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or a related field (or equivalent education and experience) is preferred.
