MiaSci receives girls' education grant
BY Tom Walker

Miami Science Museum (MiaSci) has been given a US$75,000 (£50,000, €58,000) grant by the Chase For Science Education.

The funding will be used to implement the Girls SPICE (Science Program Inspiring Creative Exhibits) project - an afterschool and summer programme targeted to female students in grades 7-8.

Judy Brown, senior vice president of education at MiaSci said: "Our nation's need for a world-class science and technology workforce has never been greater, requiring that all members of our population have the opportunity and the resources to pursue successful science and technology related studies and careers."
