Delegates gather in Berlin for EAS 2017
POSTED 25 Sep 2017 . BY Tom Anstey
The Messe Exhibition Center in Berlin, Germany, will host the 2017 edition of EAS
Buyers and suppliers from across the world have descended on Berlin ahead of this year’s Euro Attractions Show, which will see more than 500 companies showcase the latest innovations in the attractions sector to an audience of more than 11,000 industry professionals.

Hosted inside the Messe Exhibition Center, this year’s show is spread across 12,000sq m (130,000sq ft) of exhibition space, and will get into full swing tomorrow following the EAS 2017 Opening Reception kicking off the week of events.

In addition to the expansive trade show floor, EAS 2017 will also offer its most extensive education programme ever, with 97 speakers set to participate in more than 20 educational sessions over the four day period.

Christoph Kiessling, general manager of Siam Park in Tenerife; Martin Kring, general manager of Legoland Deutschland; and Andreas Knieriem, zoo director at Berlin Zoo, are among the lineup of top executives scheduled to speak during the three-day seminar programme. Topics will include a number of subjects including industry trends, new technology, marketing and communications, entertainment, government relations, safety and security, food and beverage, games and merchandise, facility operations and human resources.

The event will also include networking and behind-the-scenes tours to Berlin’s tourism attractions, including Tropical Islands and Filmpark Babelsberg.

“EAS is a must for operators, attracting everyone from the little fish to the big attractions,” said Jakob Wahl, vice president Europe, IAAPA EMEA.

“It’s very inspiring and attendees gather plenty of ideas and learn new ways to innovate. It’s a great place to meet colleagues and learn from them, with even the top operators sharing their best practices and learnings.”

EAS 2017 takes place between 26 and 28 September. For more information, click here.
