Harry Potter attraction in Osaka.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter concept was
first launched at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida, US, nearly two years ago and is now poised for an international expansion.
Osaka's new
Harry Potter-themed attraction will offer a fully immersive experience for the entire family, bringing the story of wizard to life. It is due to open in late 2014.
Universal Studios Japan president and CEO Glenn Gumpel said: "Harry Potter, the most wonderful and amazing story of our time, is coming to Universal Studios Japan.
"We will recreate The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – first created by Universal Studios in Orlando – which has been enjoyed and cherished by millions and millions of Universal Orlando's guests."
Brad Globe, president of Warner Bros. Consumer Products, added: "We think this is the perfectly timed next step in bringing the magical world of Harry Potter to life for even more fans."
In addition to Osaka, it was
revealed last December that a Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction will also be developed at Universal Studios Hollywood in California, US.
