Europa Park has announced it will remain open between Halloween and its winter season for the first time
The park will be decorated with 180,000 pumpkins, 15,000 chrysanthemums, 100,000 'autumnal flowers', 3,000 bales of straw and 6,000 corn plants
Rides and parades will be dressed with spooky themes, while the grounds will have special effects and lighting
Catering will also offer Halloween-themed food and cocktails
For the first time in its history, Europa-Park has announced it will remain open between Halloween and the start of its winter schedule as part of a ‘HALLOWinter’ offering.

The move is the latest in a series of special openings that has seen the park extending its season.

Europa Park will be open every day from 8th to 26th November 2021 from 11.00am to 7.00pm, with the classic winter season starting on 27th November and running up to and including 9th January 2022 (excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).

The entire attraction will be decorated for HALLOWinter, with over 180,000 pumpkins arranged around the park, as well as 15,000 chrysanthemums, 100,000 'autumnal flowers', 3,000 bales of straw and 6,000 corn plants. The theme will be completed with spider trees and 'ghostly illuminations' to ensure a thoroughly spooky atmosphere.

During Halloween season, Europa-Park will also be offering an ice show called 'Surpr'Ice with the Celtic Shadows' and a puppet show called 'The Grave Diggers', while 'Hellfire Fountains' will transform the lake in Adventure Land.

Monsters and night creatures will spook guests during a Halloween parade and pumpkin trolls will greet visitors in the Grimms fairy-tale forest.

The Flight of the Vampires ride will also offer a special experience during Halloween, while the Spooky Steps children's labyrinth will be overlaid with Halloween fun for the youngest visitors.

The catering team has also been busy dreaming up specials such as a blood-red, poison-green Scary Burger, pizza Diavolo and poutine chicken pumpkin, as well as a Hallogreen cocktail.

Halloween photo points will be available for guests who want to take home a souvenir.

Ticket prices will start from €55.00 per person for adults and €47.00 for seniors and children aged 4-11-years. Infants up to 3-years-old will go free.

Editor's notes
Although Europa Park closes in February, the park's hotels remain open for wellness breaks throughout the winter months.

Europa-Park opened for its first winter season in 2001, when around 180,000 visitors attended – by 2019, that number had grown to around 700,000.

The park is home to an annual Christmas market and Santa Claus Convention, during which visitors wearing a Santa Claus suit get a discount on their ticket price.
