A theme park intended to present the history of
the Communist Party in China is to be built in
southwest China's Chongqing municipality,
according to the
Chongqing Evening Post.
The Red Classics Theme Park is set to cost 2.5 billion yuan (US$386.7m) and will comprise of three main parts: a performance section, a business section, and a theme park.
The project is expected to be completed within the next four years, and will then aim to serve 30,000-50,000 visitors each day.
President of Chongqing Red Classics Investment, Chen Xiaofeng, announced that the performance section will include a half open-air theatre equipped with 2,100 seats.
Additionally, the park will contain at least three hotels, and the focus of the development's events and displays will be to showcase the country's culture and history.
