The Pavilions Hotels launches Nepal’s first-ever tented eco-villas

Luxury group The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts will soon debut the Himalayas Lake View – the first tented eco-villas in Nepal.

Designed by Wonaw & Associates and Coconut Groove Interiors, the eight villas – which range between 40 and 82 sq m – are located on the shore of Phewa Lake in Pokhara.

The resort provides a number of wellness and leisure offerings, such as Ayurvedic massages, access to a nearby mountain spring, rowing and kayaking sessions, and group-led nature walks.

Gordon Oldham, founder of The Pavilion Hotels told CLAD: "There is something rather pleasing about lying in bed, on a side of a hill, where the lake is at the bottom of the garden, and the snow-capped Annapurna Mountain Range is on the other side of the valley, surrounded by jungle noises, birds, and the sounds of peace and quiet.

"Wonaw & Associates' eco-tent design manages to fit seamlessly into the natural habitat and brings our guests closer to nature."

The Lake View – scheduled to open on 22 November – is The Pavilions Hotels' second property to launch in Nepal after The Pavilions Himalayas, which opened in 2015.

The company expects to roll out additional venues in Japan, Portugal, and Italy over the course of 2019.
